5/26/11 AM

I get on the bus this morning, and our friend "Babe" (Twins vendor) is sitting up front. Doreen and I comment to each other - only each other - about the weather and Babe from several rows up joins in on the conversation. For every additional person who gets on the bus, she strikes up some sort of conversation. Eventually, when the seat next to hers is the only one available, a young, nice-looking man gets on and sits next to her and she starts talking with him, her demeanor obviously in a flirtatious kind of way. I almost feel bad for him. Almost.

Some grumpy dood gets on at Northtown, puts in his transfer into the card reader and says something snotty to the bus driver. The card reader holds onto his transfer for a little longer than usual. Finally, when it comes back, he snatches it and stomps towards the back of the bus, talking in tongues. I pray softly that he doesn't sit next to me. Thank God he walks past.

5/18/11 AM

Rode the 6:53 departing 854C today, thinking I'd see Bonny. Instead, I was treated to a beautiful eye candy substitute, aka driver 67203.

On University, an obvious non-regular rider gets on at Osbourne. He pays, leaves his backpack up front, and proceeds to the back of the bus. Um, is there a reason why you're not taking your bag with you to your seat?

5/4/11 PM

Full busses and a lot of unfamiliar faces. That's what happens when gas is hovering around $4/gal.

After Doreen and I hadn't seen our friend 'The Sleeper' at the bus stop for a few weeks, we started to get a little worried. Today, lo and behold, who gets on the bus at Northtown? The Sleeper walks down the aisle and sits in the empty seat between Doreen and I. Apparently, he is getting a ride to school in the morning (instead of taking 3 different busses to get to school) and that is why we haven't seen him. It was fun to catch up.

Rolling (virgin experience) on the 264C this afternoon. I'm glad the NexTrip signs are working today. *insert sarcasm here*

So, which Captain Obvious sign did you miss? The large lit sign saying no turn? The large BUS letters painted on the road in both lanes? 2 idiot offenders - one in mid-Y turn after he tried to turn around and go the way he came. Bonny and I both got a very good chuckle as I got off at my stop on Marquette and 7th.
